Porcelain Crowns, Gold Crowns
CEREC / Same Day Crowns
A cap or a crown is needed when there's not enough natural tooth structure to do a filling. Crowns are a necessary part of dentistry to restore the broken or fractured tooth. In the past, hearing the diagnosis of a crown meant you had to plan on 2 visits to complete the treatment. At Evergreen Dental, we can take care of you in one visit - truly a same-day experience. We use a powerful digital system called CEREC. CEREC allows us to take 3D images of your tooth. With those images, we are able to fabricate your porcelain crown, or crowns, within 90 minutes! You can be a part of the process as you watch the crown being milled, glazed and eventually placed - all in one day!
For our patients that prefer gold crowns, we partner with some of Alaska's finest dental labs to ensure a custom fit and quality esthetics. This treatment will require two visits, and we will find the best times to fit your schedule.
TOOTH COLORED FILLINGS
A little decay can go a long way pretty quickly. When you hear it's time for a filling, the best move is to fix it immediately. At Evergreen Dental, our providers are conservative in their diagnoses. We work with the patient to arrest small points of decay through improved home care and options such as silver diamine fluoride (SDF). If the decay continues to expand, a filling may be required to restore function to your tooth.
We use only resin-based composites, also known as tooth-colored fillings, to restore or fix your tooth. No amalgam or mercury-based material is ever used. The composite is bonded to your tooth with a powerful light cure. As soon as the anesthetic wears off, you can use it just like normal!
Titanium & Zirconium Implant Placement & Restoration
Restoring your smile to its natural health and beauty includes replacing missing teeth. Dental implants can replace one or multiple teeth and function as your natural teeth do. The dental implant is placed in your jaw bone and your body then supplies the implant its own blood and continues to maintain a normal bone level. Implants can have crowns, bridges, or even partials that lock into the implant. There are so many ways a dental implant can be beneficial to your health and smile!
At Evergreen Dental, we offer two types of dental implants: titanium and zirconium. Titanium is regarded as the most biocompatible metal and is used extensively in various medical implants. Zirconium implants are considered more holistic as they are a porcelain based implant. Both options are available and our providers can discuss which option would be best for your health.
